Adal Regis was born in New York and raised in Haiti before settling in Chicago’s Hyde Park. He earned a master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago’s Harris School. Regis has been deeply engaged in civic life, serving as a District Representative for Congresswoman Robin Kelly and securing significant federal funding for local entities. Currently, he is the Director of Strategy at a Chicago-based environmental justice nonprofit, where he leads initiatives on clean energy and climate resilience. Regis also serves on Governor JB Pritzker’s Task Force on Black Immigrants and collaborates with grassroots organizations through the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
