Adam Hamawy grew up in Old Bridge, NJ, and earned an ROTC scholarship to Rutgers University. He served in the New Jersey Army National Guard and later attended Rutgers Medical School. Hamawy's extensive medical career includes treating 9/11 Ground Zero victims, serving as a combat trauma surgeon in Iraq, and working in New Jersey emergency rooms. He built a medical practice in Princeton and has volunteered in numerous war and disaster zones globally. Hamawy led medical missions to Gaza and was honored as a guest at the State of the Union in 2025.
