Amir Hassan was born and raised in Flint, MI, with a family history tied to General Motors. He graduated as Class President from Northwestern Edison High and participated in multiple sports. Hassan enlisted in the US Navy after attending Bethune Cookman University, where he served in Italy and at Guantanamo Bay, eventually becoming an Intelligence Analyst. Following his military career, he completed his degree at John Jay School of Criminal Justice and worked in federal law enforcement. Hassan then pursued a role in public service, running for Congress in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District.
