Ann Johnson holds a BA degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston. She began her career as a briefing attorney for Justice Leslie Brock Yates on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals and later served as a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Johnson has extensive experience in private practice, including working with her father at Johnson Law Firm PC and as a founding partner in Johnson Martinez LLC, where she focused on human trafficking victims and indigent defendants. She has also taught law at South Texas College of Law Houston since 2001 and is an active member of the Texas Children’s Justice Act Task Force.
