Dudley Greene has a robust background in law enforcement, having served in various capacities within North Carolina. He spent a decade in law enforcement roles, including positions with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement division, Newland Police Department, Avery County Sheriff's Office, and McDowell County Sheriff's Office. Greene then transitioned to public service, where he was appointed as the Sheriff of McDowell County in 2008, a position he held for ten years, during which he was re-elected twice. Currently, Greene serves as a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives for the 85th district.
