Gabe Vasquez

Gabe Vasquez was born in El Paso, Texas, and spent his formative years in the border region of El Paso–Juárez–Las Cruces. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and journalism from New Mexico State University. Vasquez began his career in journalism before transitioning to leadership roles in the public and non-profit sectors. He has held various communications and community relations positions, including executive director of the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and vice president of communications for First Focus on Children. Vasquez has also served on the Las Cruces City Council and in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he has focused on bipartisan initiatives.
