Gallop Franklin was born in Tallahassee, Florida, and holds an undergraduate degree and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida A&M University, where he also served as president of the Student Government Association. He has experience in clinical pharmacy and public service, including roles at Publix Supermarkets and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. Franklin completed an MBA from Cornell University and has held leadership positions in various educational and public service organizations. He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2022 and re-elected in 2024.
