Jeff Myers graduated from Warren County R-III High School in 1987 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Central Methodist College in 1993. He spent nearly 30 years serving as a trooper for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, culminating in a leadership role as vice president of the Missouri State Trooper Association. In 2022, Myers retired from the Patrol and transitioned into the private sector, becoming the owner of a firearms training company and a garage door installation company. He was also elected to the Missouri House of Representatives for District 42 in the same year.
Jeff Myers presents a unique blend of fiscal conservatism with progressive social policies. He supports reducing state income tax rates and minimal business regulation to stimulate economic growth, yet he also advocates for increased funding for public schools and affordable healthcare. Myers’s stance on environmental issues is equally intriguing; he champions renewable energy while maintaining support for fossil fuels, suggesting a calculated approach to regional economic interests. His policy positions reveal an ideologically agile thinker who navigates complex issues with a balance that merits further exploration.
