Jodi Rell holds a foundational background rooted in education and public service. She began her career in education, tutoring and substituting for Hartford Public Schools. Rell transitioned into politics, serving as a state representative and lieutenant governor before becoming governor in 2004. Her educational pursuits include attending Old Dominion University and Western Connecticut State University, and she has received multiple honorary doctorates.
