John Hodgson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1961. He holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Hodgson spent over three decades in various management roles at United Parcel Service before retiring in 2016. He then served as operations director for Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin and currently represents the 36th House district in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Additionally, he is the president of Bigfoot Strategies, a consulting firm. Hodgson has held several community leadership positions, including chair of the Fisherville Area Neighborhood Association and president of the Louisville Tea Party.
