Nils Boe

Nils Boe was born in 1913 in South Dakota and earned his Artium Baccalaureus and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later held various political positions, including serving in the state legislature and as lieutenant governor. Boe was elected Governor of South Dakota, where he implemented significant economic and educational reforms. Following his governorship, he was appointed to federal judicial roles, serving on the United States Customs Court and later the United States Court of International Trade until his death in 1992.
