Thaddeus Jones holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University and is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate at the same institution. He began his career as the first African-American alderman of Calumet City's Third Ward, where he laid the groundwork for his future leadership roles. Jones founded the Jones Foundation, focusing on community development and educational opportunities. He has held various professional roles, including serving as a Student Trustee at South Suburban College and as Chief Executive Officer of the Jones Foundation. His leadership culminated in his election as State Representative for the 29th District and subsequently as the first Black mayor of Calumet City.
